Preparations for the upcoming five-day Matabeleland North’s prime provincial trade exhibition, the Hwange agric show, have gathered has gathered steam with organisers upbeat it will change the face of the province.

Hwange Show Society Secretary-General Thulani Moyo said businesses and stakeholders should brace for a new economic order for development in the province.“In terms of preparation, we have gone a gear up,” Moyo said.

Exhibitors to the show, which will run from September 29, 2021, to October 3, 2021, will be tested for Covid-19 before the exhibition.

“…In terms of the Covid-19 regulations we will be testing all the exhibitors on September 28 and we are also going to make sure that they follow the Covid 19 protocols.

Moyo said the exhibition will help different stakeholders to interact with each other. “There is quite a long list that will benefit the province because this is a platform where you find the business community where business people actually converge. It then gives an opportunity to other businesses to have cross-pollination of ideas to have a dialogue, discussions and also open up opportunities for business adventures,” he said.

Moyo said people from the Matabeleland North Province can also learn about more things during the exhibition.

“It can also be an opportunity for diversity for some of the other business people. There is also an opportunity for the local people to learn because you found out that the wildlife is bringing quite a number of animals, they will be giving lectures at their various stands, “he said.

Over the years, the province’s prime trade exhibition has been running as a district showcase thereby limiting the number and size of exhibitors.

Moyo said all the 13 constituencies were included in this year’s exhibition.

“There is also an issue where local business people can actually make business because there are a lot of people that are going to converge both from outside and the local people. We are also creating an opportunity for the local business people to be known through showcasing their products. For interest sake all the 13 constituencies and seven districts will be covered during this exhibition,” he said.
