AB makes key appointments

AB Communications has announced senior appointments in its newspaper and radio units aimed at consolidating the multimedia company’s position as market leader, Group Editor in Chief Kelvin Jakachira has said.

Ndamu Sandu is now the Acting Editor of Business Times, Zimbabwe’s premium business and financial newspaper.

Phillimon Mhlanga is now the News Editor of the Business Times in addition to being the paper’s Online Editor.

 Tinashe Makichi has been elevated to the post of Investigations Editor while Livingstone Marufu is now the paper’s Agriculture and Mining Editor.

Perfect Hlongwane has been promoted to the post of News Editor for ZiFM Stereo, the country’s premier national radio station.

Chengetai Murimwa is now the Southern Region Editor responsible for Hevoi FM in Masvingo Province, 98.4 FM in the Midlands Province and the Bulawayo Bureau.

Vincent Mhene is now the news editor at 98.4 while Regis Chingawo takes up the same position at Hevoi FM.

Jakachira said the group has also promoted Martha Mamombe, Mona-Lisa Dube, Anesu Masamvu and Zororai Nkomo to the post of senior reporters with added responsibilities.

Jakachira said the appointments are with immediate effect and more appointments would be announced in due course.

Jakachira said, “AB Communications is renowned for being the most credible source of news and information in Zimbabwe. “We have been consistently and constantly recognized in that regard.

The new appointments will consolidate our pole position in churning out the most credible and useful information about Zimbabwe.”
