Close to 200 exhibitors are expected to showcase their products at this year’s edition of the Masvingo business expos scheduled for next week, Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution secretary, Jephter Sakupwanya has said.

“The purpose of the Masvingo business expo to be held November 17 and 18 is to have businesses showcase their products,” Sakupwanya said.

The devolution agenda requires provinces to improve their Gross Domestic Product (GDP) using the resources that are within their province.

Sakupwanya appealed for well-wishers to support the event.

“We have so many well-wishers who have always been standing by us in this endeavor in the past. This is not just a government driven project but a clear partnership between the government and the private sector,” he said.

The chairperson of the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce Masvingo Province, Andrew Chekani said: “We are quite excited about this event. It is also pleasing to note that a significant number of entities have already subscribed, indicating that they will be able to participate in this event.”

The Business Expo is projected to open new markets for industries.
