ZTA boots out Likukuma

The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA)  has appointed Givemore Chidzidzi as the organisation’s acting CEO replacing Rita Likukuma who reverts to her position in the board.

Until his appointment, Chidzidzi was the organisation’s chief operating officer.

Likukuma had been appointed at the helm in an acting capacity since February after CE Karikoga Kaseke fell ill.

Her appointment had created divisions within the board amid revelations she was sidelining the board and dealing directly with incarcerated former Tourism Minister Prisca Mupfumira.

This led to resignation of board chairman Osborne Majuru.

This is the third time that the veteran administrator Chidzidzi has been appointed ZTA acting CEO having led the organisation following the departure of the late Amos Midzi and the late Tichaona Jokonya.
