She said ZITF wanted to lure participating countries, companies and organisations to make ZITF 2019 their “next stop” in their quest to pursue investment and trading opportunities in Africa.

Nkomo said her company was also promoting the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre as the country’s largest purpose built facility for other exhibitions and events’ organisers wanting to host their events in Africa and Zimbabwe in particular.

To date, interest has been received from exhibition organisers from countries such as Tanzania and Rwanda, she said.

ZITF Company boasts of 60 years of experience in organising and hosting exhibitions and events.

“The objective is to be able to organise prestigious shows such as IATF on behalf of the partners just like it [ZITF] did, years ago, in Botswana where the company was instrumental in setting up, organising and hosting the inaugural Global Expo Botswana,” Nkomo said.

ZITF is a premier event and has been registering growth over the year. The business to business trading period saw a sharp increase to 6 914 visitors this year from 3 200 business visitors in 2017.  The period constitutes the first three days of the exhibition.
