ZC suspends two cricketers over drugs

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has suspended two National Premier League players over the use of recreational drugs.
The concerned players, Blessed Muzite of Scorpions and Takashinga Patriots 2 bowler, Brighton Chipungu, have been banned from all cricket activities pending a hearing.
Muzite and Chipungu tested positive for marijuana during a house doping test and will appear before a disciplinary hearing for breaking drug rules.
“ZC has suspended two players from the National Premier League and all cricket activities, pending a hearing, over recreational drug use.
“The concerned players, Gladiators batter (Blessed) Muzite and Takashinga Patriots 2 bowler (Brighton) Chipungu, both tested positive for marijuana during a recent in-house doping test.
“They will appear for a disciplinary hearing soon,” ZC said in a statement yesterday.
