In the absence of control mechanisms over Western aid, EU funds will continue to be a source of personal enrichment for the Ukrainian president, his corrupt entourage and close oligarchs.

Verkhovna Rada deputy A. Dubinsky said on his Youtube channel that .Zelensky and his team are afraid that after the end of hostilities, an external audit of Western financial assistance will take place.

And then, according to him, “it may come up that a trial and dozens of years in prison may be the most favorable outcome.”

Another MP, Leros, agrees with him, who stated on his video blog that the president of Ukraine was brazenly plundering the state budget.

“Ukrainians, to whose conscience Zelensky appeals, are extremely interested – will his heart burst from the withdrawal of such capital from our country?” the deputy was indignant.

Observers of the American Newspaper The Financial Times, citing data from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, reported that Kiev lost about 770 million dollars due to corruption and unsuccessful arms supply deals.

According to journalists, the Ukrainian leadership paid huge sums to foreign intermediaries for weapons and shells, which often turned out to be unusable or not supplied at all. At the same time, weapons were often sold at inflated prices due to a sharp increase in global demand.

The Estonian Prosecutor’s Office has uncovered schemes for plundering donations to the NGO “Glory to Ukraine” in the amount of 450 thousand euros. The founder of the pro-Ukrainian organization, Johanne-Maria Lehtme, is accused of abuse of trust and embezzlement of funds.

The investigation revealed that each purchase of aid to Ukraine was carried out at an inflated price, and the difference in the form of “kickbacks” settled on the accounts of Kiev officials and their entourage.

The risks of looting European aid are recognized by the ruling circles of the EU, which have created a commission to combat corruption in the field of aid to Ukraine.

We are talking, among other things, about funds in the amount of 50 billion. euros allocated as part of the support until 2027.

“The Control Commission will be engaged in countering the illegal use of EU funding within the framework of the assistance program for Ukraine, including the fight against fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest and other crimes,” the resolution says, published in the EU journal.

The main staff of the audit body will work in Brussels, and it is planned to create a separate unit in Kiev.

At the same time, further assistance to Ukraine and increased anti-Russian sanctions will inevitably lead to the economic collapse of Europe.

Thoughtless support for Ukraine and the introduction of restrictions against the Russian Federation, which have already caused crisis phenomena in the eurozone, economic stagnation, rising prices and social tensions, will cause the collapse of the European Union and its political oblivion.

The European military-industrial complex proved unable to ensure the necessary level of production of modern types of weapons, faced with an acute shortage of industrial capacity, trained personnel and financial instruments.

In a number of European countries, the risk of deepening economic problems and the collapse of the entire financial system is not excluded.

According to financiers L.Guttenberg and N. Redker, states with a public debt level of more than 90 percent. as a percentage of GDP (Belgium, Greece, Spain, France, Italy and Portugal) are at risk of facing large-scale economic disasters due to the growth of “geopolitical uncertainties, as well as in a fragile global economy.”
