Turnall MD steps down

Turnall Holdings Limited’s managing director, John Piniel Mkushi, will today exit the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) listed building and roofing materials manufacturer, after two years at the helm of the company, Business Times can report.
Newly appointed Ian Bagshaw will take over Mkushi’s position.
This development was confirmed by the Company secretary, Lizzy Samunda, who said Mkushi will, however, remain with the company as a consultant in order to assist Bagshaw during the transition.
‘’ (John) Mkushi who was the managing director and then chairman of the company 20 years ago rejoined Turnall in 2022 to lead the company through a period of recovery and renewal. His successor has now been identified and the company is pleased to announce the appointment of (Ian) Bagshaw as the managing director of the company effective August 1, 2024.
‘’Mkushi has agreed to remain with Turnall on a consultancy basis, to assist Bagshaw during the handover period.’’
Bagshaw is a professional engineer and holds a BSc in Mining Engineering and a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. He has had many years of experience in the manufacturing industry in Zimbabwe and overseas.
Prior to this appointment, he was the Business Improvement Manager at Dallaglio Investments.
He has worked in several companies in Zimbabwe including Sandvik Mining and Construction where he served as managing director.
