TBWA Zimbabwe appoints Patience Chivaviro its new GM

Zimbabwe’s leading advertising and marketing company, TBWA Zimbabwe, has appointed Patience Chivaviro as its new general manager (GM) to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company.
The appointment is effective January 4, 2021.
TBWA Zimbabwe is a unit of Full Circle Comms, which also operates Magna Carta Reputation Management Consultants and Bwanji Digital Agency.
TBWA Zimbabwe serves top companies in Zimbabwe, among them PPC, Stanbic, PSI, Delta, African Sun, Access Finance, Bakers Inn, and TelOne.
TBWA Zimbabwe managing director Sapi Bachi said Chivaviro’s experience in the corporate world beyond Zimbabwe’s borders as a relationship manager and business solutions expert would be effective in the growth of TBWA Zimbabwe and the direction the company intends to go.
“This is a new position and the GM will be critical in ensuring that we keep the company’s momentum as we expand our service offering and the growth of our team,” Bachi said.
Speaking on her appointment, Chivaviro said: “Despite the challenges that most companies faced in 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic, I believe that TBWA has a lot to offer and we intend to use this opportunity to showcase TBWA as a market leader in Zimbabwe.”
Chivaviro joined Full Circle Comms in 2019 as Account Manager at Magna Carta Reputation Management Consultants where she has been highly impressive, energetic and has shown leadership in all areas she has been responsible for.
She brings with her a wealth of operational experience, having worked in several positions for companies in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Prior to joining Full Circle Comms, Chivaviro worked for British Airways for seven years in different roles including being the reservations manager and airport operations manager after which she opened her own travel agency, which she ran until her family moved to South Africa.
She also worked for the Bidvest Bank Travel Group in South Africa where she started in operations and progressed into the business solutions department at BCD Travel and Rennies Travel Global who both are part of Bidvest Travel Group.
One of her major projects was as the online implementation specialist and training manager for BCD working on global brands Mercedes Global, Nestle Global, WHO, Coca Cola, MTN, Telkom, UN World Food Programme and Rand Merchant Bank.
