Harare will next month play host to one of the world’s most influential financial thinkers when Robert Kiyosaki, the celebrated American businessman, investor, and best-selling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, lands in Zimbabwe on 6 September 2025 for his first-ever teaching engagement in the country.
Kiyosaki will headline the highly anticipated “Making Money Make Sense” conference at Celebration Church, Borrowdale, where he is set to deliver an immersive session on wealth creation, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.
He will share the stage with a panel of distinguished international speakers: Philip Haslam, CEO of ZiTenga and author of When Money Destroys Nations; Dorian Wrigley, CEO of Peco Power; and Daan Mare, Executive Chairman of Riskflow.
The event will be hosted by Dr. Nigel Chanakira, Chairman of SMI, LMI, and FMI (AfriCan), and organized by his company, Power Tank, the official distributor of Success Management International, Leadership Management International, and Family Management.
“This is a historic moment,” Dr. Chanakira told Business Times.
“We are delighted to be hosting the world-renowned Robert Kiyosaki in Zimbabwe for the very first time to teach on personal finances and wealth. Robert is an American entreprenuer, investor, educator and author best known for his personal finance book, Rich Dad Poor Dad. The book contrasts two financial mindsets: the traditional path of working for money (as taught by his Poor Dad) versus building wealth through investing and entrepreneurship (as taught by his Rich Dad. His work focuses on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and investing, especially in real estate and business ownership. He has visited Zimbabwe before as a tourist and hunter.
“Robert will be flanked by my globally respected professional colleagues (Philip) Haslam (author of the book ‘When Money Destroys Nations), (Daan) Mare (bank software developer) and (Dorian) Wrigley (fund manager). Robert’s visit is nothing short of a game-changer.”
Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad remains one of the most influential personal finance books of all time. The book has reshaped financial education across generations and continues to inspire debates on money, work, and wealth.
For Zimbabweans, Kiyosaki’s arrival comes at a time when economic resilience and innovative wealth-building strategies are needed more than ever.
“This is not just another motivational event,” Dr. Chanakira emphasized adding that “it will be a real transformative experience. Most seminars give you ideas but this event is aimed at being the Cashflow Revolution that gives you the tools to take action. At this one-day interactive and immersive event, you will do more than listen. You will learn, apply and strategise for real-life income growth.”
Kiyosaki himself confirmed his excitement about coming to Harare:
“I’m happy to announce I’ll be in Zimbabwe on the 6th of September, 2025. Yes, I’ll be there in person. I’ve been to Zimbabwe many, many times, but never to teach. This time, I’ll be sharing my Cashflow Board Game, which teaches financial education schools never provide.
How can a person get rich if schools don’t teach about money? The purpose of the game is people teaching people—that is the key to success and the future of Zimbabwe. I can’t wait to be there, for the first time as a teacher.”
The event is expected to draw entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers, and young professionals eager to sharpen their financial acumen and take control of their futures.
With Kiyosaki’s global reputation for practical wisdom and bold financial insights, Harare is poised to host a transformational financial education summit that could spark a new era of wealth creation in Zimbabwe.
