Retailers warned not to hike prices

The Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CZR) has warned uniform and stationery retailers not to hike prices of uniform and stationery following the reopening of schools.
Examination classes start Monday while other classes resume next Monday.
CZR president, Denford Mutashu urged retailers to behave responsibly.
” CZR warns uniform retailers and wholesalers, stationery shops and suppliers to maintain their usual prevailing prices and desist from taking advantage of the government’s noble decision to re-open schools as an excuse to profiteer.
” In light of the above CZR shall be working closely with law enforcement agencies to ensure sanity prevails as schools reopen. CZR will be monitoring the situation and provide necessary recommendations to government in the event of rampant indiscipline, ” Mutashu said.
