President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to be Guest of Honour at this year’s edition of the CEO Africa Roundtable, set for October 14 to 18, 2025, in the resort city of Victoria Falls.

The high-profile gathering, now firmly established as one of Africa’s premier executive platforms, will convene influential leaders from government, business, and civil society under the theme: “Future Ready Africa: Connecting Ideas, Creating Value.”

Organisers say preparations are at an advanced stage for the conference, which is expected to host deep conversations spanning finance, energy, infrastructure, leadership, technology, and agriculture.

A distinguished line-up of speakers has been confirmed, including Mangaliso Ndhlovu, Minister of Industry and Commerce; Dr. Anxious Masuka, Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development; Felix Mhona, Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development; July Moyo, Minister of Energy and Power Development; Dr. John Mangudya, CEO of the Mutapa Investment Fund; Dr. Douglas Mboweni, CEO of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe; and Never Ncube, CEO of Dandemutande.

Adding fresh depth to this year’s programme, ZIFA President Nqobile Magwizi will join the speaker roster. He will engage delegates on the economic and social potential of sports in Africa, highlighting its role in driving investment, creating jobs, empowering youth, and strengthening communities. The sports industry, increasingly recognised for its contribution to GDP, tourism, and social cohesion, is emerging as a vital growth sector on the continent.

A major highlight of the five-day conference will be a transformative dialogue on agricultural resilience, reflecting the urgent need to secure Africa’s food systems in the face of climate change. Headlined by Minister Dr. Masuka, this session is expected to be one of the most consequential discussions.

Delegates will explore strategies to strengthen food systems, advance climate-smart agriculture, and promote inclusive rural development.

Key focus areas will include drought-resistant seed varieties, precision irrigation, soil fertility management, and the integration of digital tools such as remote sensing and AI-powered climate forecasting.

Financing models tailored for smallholder farmers, such as climate insurance, blended finance, and innovative credit solutions—will also feature prominently.

The agriculture track will further emphasise the importance of building strong public-private partnerships to scale technology-enabled agribusiness ecosystems and encourage regenerative farming practices that protect soil health and biodiversity while promoting long-term sustainability.

Beyond agriculture, the CEO Africa Roundtable will provide a stage for cross-sectoral dialogue on some of the continent’s most pressing challenges.

Energy security, digital transformation, infrastructure development, and industrialisation will headline parallel sessions, with leaders such as Dr. Mangudya, Minister Moyo, Dr. Mboweni, and Ncube steering conversations on investment opportunities and pathways to inclusive, sustainable growth.

This year’s Roundtable is positioned not just as a conference, but as a strategic platform to chart bold solutions for Africa’s future.
