Alec Nhundu, a councillor for Ward 20 in Sese area, said villagers with the assistance of a local patron were upgrading the school and construction of boarding houses was at an advanced stage.
“At our school Danhamombe High School, we are constructing boarding hostels that are now at wall plate level. Also we are constructing staff houses that are almost complete.
“This development is happening through assistance from our local patrons as well as the community,” Nhundu said.
He said the development was going to improve children’s education as well as ease them from travelling long distances.
“Staying nearer to school helps children get enough time to study,” Nhundu said.
If completed the school will be among the prominent boarding schools in Chivi district alongside Berejena and Chibi high schools.
Meanwhile, villagers in Sese have also completed constructing a police base to help in curbing crime cases.
“We also have managed to complete constructing a police base at Sese business center. This camp will help us curb crimes and also villagers will not travel to Chivi growth point to report their cases, it is far,” Nhundu told Business Times.
