Ndamu Sandu now Business Times Editor

AB Communications Group Editor in Chief Kelvin Jakachira has announced the appointment of Ndamu Sandu as the substantive Editor for Business Times, Zimbabwe’s premier business and financial newspaper.

Ndamu has been the newspaper’s Acting Editor for the past 10 months.

Jakachira also announced the promotion of Livingstone Marufu to the position of Business Times Managing Editor.

Before the latest promotion Livingstone was the newspaper’s Business Agriculture and Mining Editor.

The appointments are with immediate effect and more announcements will be made in due course as the multi-media group continues to consolidate its pole position in the sector, Jakachira said.

Business Times recently recruited business reporters Sowell Chikwari, Rutendo Rori and Ryan Chigoche.

AB communications owns the country’s hottest radio station ZiFM Stereo, 98.4FM Midlands in the Midlands province, Hevoi FM in Masvingo Province, Business Times, content producer Mighty Movies and outdoor advertising unit TruckAds among other interests.

The latest developments come hard on the heels of yet another round of promotions within the Group.

The Group CEO Benson Mbewe recently appointed senior editorial staffer, Chengetai Murimwa to the position of Station Manager at 98.4 FM Midlands.

On Air personality, Kim Sibanda is the radio station’s Programming Coordinator.

Current affairs anchor and journalist, Works Gezana was promoted to the position of Station Manager for Hevoi FM in Masvingo Province while another on-air personality Candice Masimba is now the Programming Coordinator at the Masvingo-based radio station.
