Minister Mavetera to headline Business Times’ telecoms indaba

The Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Dr. Tatenda Mavetera, will headline the second edition of the Zimbabwe Telecommunications and Exhibition Conference, hosted by Business Times next week in Harare.
The high-profile event, set for April 3, will run under the theme: “Accelerating Zimbabwe’s Developed Future: ESG, AI, and IoT Advancements.”
Key players in the telecoms sector, including NetOne, Econet Wireless, Liquid, Powertel, TelOne, and Aura Group, have confirmed their participation. Other notable attendees include PRAZ, Dandemutande, Stanbic Bank, and several leading ICT companies.
Business Times’ Business Development Executive, Caroline Konje, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming conference.
“We are excited to host the second edition of the Zimbabwe Annual Telecoms Conference & Exhibition 2025. Everything is set, and most telecoms companies have already registered. The Minister of ICT will grace the occasion and officially launch this year’s event,” she said.
The conference will feature high-profile speakers including Liquid Intelligent Technologies CEO Lorreta Songola, TELCO MD Dumisani Nkala, DR Prosper Mutswiri and Dandemutande CEO Never Ncube, who will share insights on industry experiences—both challenges and opportunities—while discussing solutions to drive Zimbabwe’s technological future forward.
