Mavetera to headline third Telecoms Indaba

Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister, Dr Tatenda Mavetera, is set to headline the third edition of the Zimbabwe Telecommunications and Exhibition Conference 2026, to be hosted by Business Times next Wednesday in Harare.
The high-profile event, will run under the theme: “Beyond Connectivity: Telecoms, AI and Zimbabwe’s Digital Future.”
Key players in the telecommunications sector — including NetOne, Econet Wireless, Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Powertel and TelOne — have confirmed their participation, underscoring the growing strategic importance of the platform.
Other notable stakeholders expected to attend include the sector regulator, the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ), alongside leading ICT firms and innovators.
AB Communications Acting Head of Events and Marketing, Caroline Konje, said preparations for the flagship industry gathering were now complete.
“All is set for the third edition of the Zimbabwe Annual Telecoms Conference & Exhibition 2026. Most telecoms companies have already registered to participate at the event. Minister Mavetera will grace the occasion and officially launch this year’s conference,” she said.
The event will bring together industry leaders, policymakers and technology experts to interrogate the integration of artificial intelligence, accelerate digital transformation, and map the future trajectory of Zimbabwe’s telecommunications sector.
Captains of industry are expected to share practical insights drawn from their experiences, unpacking both the challenges and emerging opportunities, while advancing solutions aimed at driving the country’s digital economy forward.
