Information  Minister, Monica Mutsvangwa says marketing is the bridge for Zimbabwe’s success .

Mutsvangwa made the remarks at the Marketers  Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ) briefing ahead of the inaugural African Marketing Conference (AMC) set for October 19 to 22, 2022, in Victoria Falls.

MAZ will be bringing AMC to Zimbabwe.

In a speech read  on her behalf by the ministry’s  director of media services, George Chisoko, Mutsvangwa said there was need for all professionals to market Zimbabwe.

She said marketing offers a pathway that solves meaningful problems and bringing sustainability.

“I would like to emphasize on the importance of marketing as a profession and the utmost need for the country to embrace it for success. When used to its best potential, marketing offers a course of action that solves significant problems that customers face and contributes to organisational stability,” she said.

She added: “I cannot emphasize enough on the need to market the country by all professions. We cannot leave this task to the marketers only because alone we can do so little but together, we can do so much.

(The AMC) is our chance as Zimbabwe to further reinforce to the region what we are capable of.”

MAZ executive secretary, Gillian Rusike, said: “We believe this conference will not only add a cap in the feather of Zimbabwe Tourism, but will also provide a platform for local companies to shine”
