Tendo Electronics managing director Mike Kamungeremu has taken over the presidency of the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) following the end of Tinashe Manzungu’s tenure.

The ZNCC presidency has a 12 month cycle which can be renewed for another year if he or she performed well. Manzungu has been president since 2020.

In his acceptance speech after being sworn into office Thursday, Kamungeremu said he wants to take ZNCC to new levels.

“I took over the ZNCC presidency at a time when the country is going for an election and I hope businesses will remain strong in that period and beyond.

“I will continue to engage the government to achieve great things together,” Kamungeremu said.

Meanwhile, ZNCC honoured best performing businesses  and individuals in the country at its 2022 annual congress held in Victoria Falls.
