Hustling not sustainable: Chanakira

Young entrepreneurs have been advised to think outside and invest in long term business models rather than quick money schemes which are not sustainable.

Financial consultant, Panashe Chanakira, told ZiFM Stereo’s Simba Mudereri on The Ignition, a breakfast show, that long term projects are sustainable unlike the “hustling” mentality that has gripped many.

“It’s so important to think long term and to be able to strategise,” Chanakira said.

“There are many people in Zimbabwe, even outside the country, who started off as hustlers so it takes time and I think the problem is we tend to be impatient, we live in a microwave society and we want instant success but it has to be step by step, bit by bit,” Chanakira said.

“What are you spending your money on daily? Sometimes you can even take US$50 or US$60 and invest it on the stock market. It doesn’t necessarily have to be in Zimbabwe, you can look even globally as well.”

Chanakira will be hosting a seminar at Celebration Centre on September 6 dubbed the Making Money Sense Cash-flow Revolution 2025 with South African financial consultant Robert Kiosaki as the guest speaker.
