Health professionals attain global certification

Thirty-five health professionals from the public and private sectors recently obtained their global CPD certificates after completing training on health supply chain.
The two months training programme was supported by IAPHL Zimbabwe and CMCOMMS.
The online programme was specifically developed for Zimbabwe and professionals were taught by local and global expert trainers. The programme was led by Bee Skilled Global, an Indian organisation which has roots all over Africa. It was supported by IAPHL Zimbabwe chapter – which is a network of health logisticians in the country—and CMCOMMS, an agency supporting Good Distribution Practices in the country.
Bee Skilled CEO, Sanjay Saha, who handed over the certificates, said the first cohort saw a successful completion with 96% learners receiving their CPD certificates.
“This is just the beginning and together with IAPHL and CMCOMMS, we aim to reach 500 certified professionals in the country very soon,” Saha
IAPHL secretary Dr Takesure Chabaya said the training was the beginning as the organisation plans to bring more programmes to capacitate health professionals
“IAPHL Zimbabwe is the third most active IAPHL community globally, and with the association with Bee Skilled, we have launched the effort of providing global learning opportunities to our members. We will bring more opportunities for our members in 2023,” he said.
CMCOMMS managing consultant Wilson Chandomba said his organisation was involved in promoting Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Quality Assurance through adherence to current Good Storage and Distribution Practices (cGSDP) throughout the supply of a medical product up to last mile delivery including hard to reach areas.
“In our desire to promote cGDP as in other parts of the world, we have partnered with Bee Skilled Global in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa in rolling out the Supply Chain for Health training programme,” Chandomba said.
