Harare is set to become the epicenter of innovation and entrepreneurship as it hosts the inaugural Emerging Brands in Africa Awards (EBAA) on March 1, 2025.
This highly anticipated event will celebrate the remarkable growth and impact of Africa’s most dynamic and innovative brands, recognizing trailblazers in sectors such as business, sports, film, arts, healthcare, technology, agriculture, and renewable energy. More than just an awards ceremony, the EBAA aims to serve as a launchpad for future growth and investment across the continent.
“We are incredibly excited to host the first Emerging Brands in Africa Awards in Harare,” said Kudzai Mukuku, CEO of the Africa Investment Leaders Forum and Awards, and the EBAA.
“Zimbabwe is a nation rich in talent and ambition. We believe it is the perfect location to showcase the groundbreaking work happening across Africa. The EBAA is committed to celebrating success, inspiring future generations of African entrepreneurs, and fostering a stronger, more interconnected continent.”
The event is expected to attract attendees from over ten African countries, including Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Togo, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Namibia, Eswatini, Nigeria, and Cameroon. High-profile guests such as government officials, investors, industry leaders, and media representatives will be in attendance, making the EBAA a prime networking opportunity. The awards ceremony will provide a vital platform for collaboration, idea exchange, and investment partnerships.
The selection process will be rigorous, with a panel of expert judges evaluating nominees based on market impact, innovation, brand storytelling, sustainability, and growth potential.
“We are looking for brands that are truly making a difference in their respective fields,” Mukuku explained.
“We want to highlight the companies and individuals driving economic growth, creating jobs, and improving lives across Africa.”
Hosting the EBAA in Harare underscores Zimbabwe’s growing significance in the African business landscape. With its economy poised for growth, the country is positioning itself as a hub for innovation and investment. Zimbabweans will no doubt be eager to see their own homegrown brands recognized among Africa’s best.
The Emerging Brands in Africa Awards promises to be a milestone event, celebrating success, inspiring future leaders, and strengthening intra-African connections. Nominations will open soon, with further details on the application process and event specifics to be announced in the coming weeks.
