ED to officiate at NCC Summit

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to officiate at the National Competitive Commission (NCC) Summit in Bulawayo today,Business Times can report

 

The high-level event aims at fostering solutions to enhance productivity and national competitiveness.

The summit, taking place at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Exhibition Centre, has brought together key stakeholders, including government ministries, agencies, industry leaders, local authorities, and academic institutions.

Before the official opening, the President will tour and commission Edgars Stores’ new Carousel Clothing Manufacturing plant in the city’s industrial hub. The state-of-the-art facility is expected to boost the company’s production capacity and strengthen its competitive edge in the market.

The summit serves as a critical platform for building national consensus on strategies to improve competitiveness through collaboration, innovation, and adaptability. The manufacturing sector, a key pillar of Zimbabwe’s economy alongside agriculture, mining, and tourism, is central to these discussions.
