EazzyPay unveils unified digital payment platform

EazzyPay has launched a unified digital payment platform, specifically developed to simplify how individuals and businesses manage their daily financial transactions, a move set to transform Zimbabwe’s financial technology landscape.

Operating under the mantra “Payments Made Easy,” the innovation is designed to eliminate inefficiencies, enhance financial inclusion, and bring convenience to millions of Zimbabweans, the group CEO, Tabeth Nyahasha, said.

For years, Zimbabwe’s digital payment ecosystem has been fragmented, forcing users to navigate multiple platforms to make essential payments—from electricity tokens and airtime to event tickets and utility bills. These disconnected systems have resulted in long queues, delayed confirmations, and limited transparency.

“The digital payment platform is designed to simplify and unify the way individuals and businesses manage their financial transactions. With the mantra ‘Payments Made Easy,’ EazzyPay aims to enhance financial inclusion, reduce transactional inefficiencies, and meet the growing demand for seamless digital services across Zimbabwe,” Nyahasha said.

Despite digital payments increasing by 34% to US$5.93 bn in 2025, cash still dominates, accounting for nearly 70% of all transactions. EazzyPay directly addresses these challenges by offering a single, integrated platform accessible via mobile app, WhatsApp bot, and web interface. The innovation promises not only convenience but also improved security, speed, and transparency in all transactions.

The launch comes at a time when Zimbabwe’s e-commerce market is rapidly expanding, expected to reach approximately US$445m by the end of 2025, with around 3.5 million active online shoppers. Mobile commerce now accounts for 60% of total transactions, driven by increased smartphone adoption and wider internet connectivity, while social media platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook continue to influence purchasing behavior. This highlights the need for integrated digital financial systems that meet consumers where they already are.

“At EazzyPay, our mission is to simplify payments and empower communities through accessible, secure, and user-friendly digital solutions. We are not just building a payment platform, we are building a bridge that connects people, businesses, and opportunities. Our vision is to make financial inclusion a reality for every Zimbabwean, from urban centres to remote rural communities,” Nyahasha said.

The group’s long-term goal is to become the country’s most trusted digital payment partner, driving Zimbabwe toward a cash-lite economy while promoting digital empowerment and sustainable growth.
