Chiwenga to officially open CGAIZ conference today

Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga is expected to officially open the Chartered Governance and Accountancy Institute in Zimbabwe (CGAIZ) conference today in the resort city of Victoria Falls, Business Times can report.
This was confirmed by CGAIZ CEO, Dr Lovemore Gomera.
He said the conference will discuss issues related to governance, accountancy and the economy.
The theme of the conference, which kicks off today and runs up to September 21, is Governance and Accountancy Agenda – Towards a shared future.
Additionally, he said that a number of distinguished local and international speakers will present papers on a range of subjects pertaining to accounting and governance.
“The conference, at which Vice-President (Constantino) Chiwenga, is the key speaker, will be addressed by a number of eminent local and international speakers on a variety of topics related to governance and accountancy. There will be a number of panel discussions as well.”
According to Dr Gomera , the chartered governance and accountancy professionals will have the chance to discuss issues pertaining to their work and how they can contribute to the development of the county.
“The conference, which takes place every year, provides Chartered Governance and Accountancy Professionals with an opportunity to meet to discuss important issues related to their profession and the role they can play as professionals in contributing to Zimbabwe’s development and prosperity,” Dr Gomera said.
