The high-level event will feature critical insights from the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor, Dr John Mushayavanhu, who is expected to attend as Guest of Honour, alongside the main presentation by Professor Gift Mugano, Executive Director of AEDS.

Professor Mugano is set to deliver a comprehensive assessment of the economy, offering rigorous analysis and forward-looking forecasts. His presentation will provide granular insights across key areas, including the real sector, fiscal and monetary developments, exchange rate dynamics, financial market developments, the external sector, and public debt.

The discussions will be enriched by a panel of respected industry and policy experts comprising Dr Nigel Chanakira, Executive Chairman of Power Tank; Latifa Kassim, Head of Treasury, Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Nedbank Zimbabwe; Brains Muchemwa, Managing Director of Oxlink Capital; and Pretty Nyati, Chief Economist at AEDS.

The breakfast meeting will also mark the launch of the flagship Zimbabwe Economic Pulse (ZEP) report, expected to provide hard data, granular analysis and forecasts on Zimbabwe’s economic outlook, grounded in rigorous economic inquiry.

Phillimon Mhlanga, Editor of Business Times, a market leader in business, financial and economic reportage, said the breakfast meeting provides a vital platform for business leaders and policymakers to engage on Zimbabwe’s evolving economic landscape.

“The calibre of speakers at the breakfast meeting ensures that attendees will leave with valuable knowledge and strategies to navigate Zimbabwe’s ever-revolving business environment effectively. We are committed to fostering discussions that drive business success,” Mhlanga said.
