The Corporate Governance and Accounting Institute of Zimbabwe (CGAIZ) is set to host its highly anticipated annual conference next week in the resort city of Victoria Falls.
Thought leaders, policymakers, and industry professionals will converge from September 17 to 20 to chart a bold path toward Zimbabwe’s economic revival.
Under the theme “Inspire, Innovate, Sustain: Charting the Course for Zimbabwe’s Economic Rebound,” the event promises a dynamic mix of strategic dialogue, expert insights, and collaborative action. The conference will highlight the critical role of governance, ethics, and sustainability in rebuilding resilient institutions and unlocking national potential.
The keynote address will be delivered by Honourable Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development. Other confirmed speakers include Old Mutual Zimbabwe Group CEO Sam Matsekete, NSSA General Manager Dr Charles Shava, ZB Financial Holdings Group CEO Dr Shepherd Fungura, CZI CEO Sekai Kuvarika, and ZNCC CEO Chris Mugaga, among others.
CGAIZ Chief Executive Dr Lovemore Gomera emphasised the urgency of this year’s theme.
“Zimbabwe stands at a pivotal moment. We must inspire bold leadership, innovate across sectors and sustain reforms that drive inclusive growth. Corporate governance is not a luxury but the backbone of economic resilience. This conference is a rallying point for professionals who believe in rebuilding with integrity and foresight,” he said.
Dr Gomera added that CGAIZ is proud to convene voices that matter, from regulators to entrepreneurs, and from sustainability champions to financial experts.
“Together, we will explore how ethical leadership and strategic partnerships can transform our economy and restore public trust,” he said.
Beyond the plenary sessions, delegates will experience a curated program blending professional development, networking, and celebration.
“We are not just gathering to talk, we are gathering to act. The future of Zimbabwe’s economy depends on how well we govern today. Let this conference be the spark that ignites sustainable change,” Dr Gomera added.
With its focus on ethical leadership, collaboration, and practical solutions, this year’s CGAIZ conference is poised to be a defining moment in Zimbabwe’s journey toward economic resilience and growth.
