All set for CEO Africa Annual Roundtable

All is set for the 11th Annual CEO Africa Roundtable conference, which runs from October 14 to 18, 2025, at the Elephant Hills Resort in Victoria Falls, with President Emmerson Mnangagwa expected to grace the occasion as Guest of Honour.

Firmly established as one of Africa’s premier executive leadership platforms, the high-level indaba will bring together ministers, business leaders, investors, and thought leaders under the theme, “Future Ready Africa: Connecting Ideas, Creating Value.”

Organisers say preparations are now at an advanced stage, with delegates set to engage in deep, strategic discussions across critical sectors including finance, energy, infrastructure, leadership, technology, and agriculture.

The 2025 edition promises robust dialogue, powerful insights, and actionable pathways for driving Africa’s next phase of transformation.

A distinguished line-up of speakers has been confirmed, among them Mangaliso Ndhlovu, Minister of Industry and Commerce; Dr. Anxious Masuka, Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development; Felix Mhona, Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development; July Moyo, Minister of Energy and Power Development; Dr. John Mangudya, CEO of the Mutapa Investment Fund; Dr. Douglas Mboweni, CEO of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, Never Ncube, Phil Nervig, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Zimbabwe, CEO of Dandemutande and Dr Jesimen Chipika, the Deputy Governor Reserve  Bank of Zimbabwe, among many others.

Professor Arthur Mutambara, the globally acclaimed academic, strategist, and former Deputy Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, will headline a fireside chat titled “Geopolitics and the Economic Impact in Africa: The Shift from Geopolitics to Geoeconomics.”

Professor Mutambara will unpack how shifting global power dynamicsare redefining the global order and reshaping Africa’s economic prospects.

Professor Mutambara will also feature in a high-level panel on Artificial Intelligence (AI), exploring opportunities and challenges arising from the AI revolution  and how Africa can harness emerging technologies to boost competitiveness and drive innovation-led growth.

ZIFA President Nqobile Magwizi joins the speaker roster to spotlight the economic and social potential of sports in Africa. His presentation will explore how the sports industry can catalyse investment, create jobs, empower youth, and strengthen communities, a timely discussion as the sector gains recognition for its contribution to GDP, tourism, and social cohesion.

A major highlight of the 2025 conference will be a transformative dialogue on agricultural resilience, reflecting the urgent need to secure Africa’s food systems amid the realities of climate change. Headlined by Dr. Anxious Masuka, this session is expected to be one of the most consequential of the event, delving into strategies for strengthening food systems, advancing climate-smart agriculture, and promoting inclusive rural development.

The Investor Hosting Centre (IHC), a premier data-driven digital investment facilitation platform, connecting global investors  with bankable opportunities, will headline a high-impact investor session focused on translating Africa’s vast potential into bankable, sustainable opportunities.

As a leading digital investment facilitation platform, the IHC will engage influential African and global business leaders to map practical pathways for unlocking investment-ready projects and building partnerships that accelerate continental growth.

The session will feature Larry Ivory, President of the Illinois State Black Chamber of Commerce (USA),one of the largest black business development organisations in the United States, alongside Werner Trieloff, senior representative for Africa from Afro Chamber, Brazil, which promotes trade and investment ties between Brazil and Africa.
